editing and image rectifying (what photographers don't want you to see)

All images go through a compulsory editing process, but some environments can be very difficult to get the best shot straight out of the camera, and the image above is a good example. The original version on the left is what the camera took, and when I saw it, I automatically rejected it as unsalvageable. However, I recently went back through lots of my images and challenged myself to demonstrate my editing ability to show how much effort goes into photography and post processing.
